Vedanta Aluminium hosted an industrial safety training program in association with the Directorate of Factories and Boilers in Jharsuguda, Odisha today.
As India’s largest producer of aluminium, Vedanta Aluminium collaborated with the Government of Odisha to conduct a comprehensive one-day training program aimed at enhancing safety awareness and fostering a robust safety culture among industry professionals across diverse industrial zones within the state. The event, organized under the Department of Labour and ESI, received notable participation from industry experts and professionals.
The training program was honored by the presence of esteemed dignitaries including Shri R. S. Gopalan, Commissioner-cum-Secretary of the Labour & ESI Dept., Govt. of Odisha, and Dr. Malay Kumar Pradhan, Deputy Director of Factories & Boilers (Safety), Govt. of Odisha, who joined virtually. Additionally, Shri Swaroop Jena, Deputy Director of Factories & Boilers, and other officials from the Government of Odisha also participated.
Led by expert trainers from the Institute of Quality and Environment Management Services (IQEMS) Pvt. Ltd., the training program covered essential topics such as process safety, behavior-based safety, leadership, fire and explosion safety, and risk-based thinking. With over 400 attendees representing various industries in Western Odisha, the event proved to be highly beneficial, providing participants with valuable insights and practical knowledge to enhance safety practices in their respective workplaces.
