The National Institute of Ayurveda (NIA) in Jaipur, under the Ministry of Ayush of the Government of India, and the Department of Thai Traditional and Alternative Medicine of the Ministry of Public Health of the Government of the Kingdom of Thailand have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the establishment of an Academic Collaboration in Ayurveda and Thai Traditional Medicine.
The MoU was signed during the 10th India-Thailand Joint Commission Meeting held here, in the presence of dignitaries including BK Singh, Joint Secretary of the Union Ministry of Ayush and Dr. Taweesin Visanuyothin, Director General of the Department of Thai Traditional and Alternative Medicine, Thailand.
The primary objective of this initiative is to promote, facilitate, and develop academic collaboration in the field of Ayurveda and Thai Traditional Medicine, ensuring equality and mutual benefit for both parties.
Both parties will support each other with mutual cooperation and collaborative activities, including facilitating training courses, conducting collaborative research studies, and organizing conferences and meetings alternately in India and Thailand. They will also review the progress of the implementation of the MoU and evaluate the results of collaborative programs.
